DESIGNING CHALLENGES
Officers Mess Function Plaza is a 150-year-old structure; its construction style is unique as its name and history. Therefore, it was quite challenging for Iconoclast innovations to give an elegant look while maintaining the old design of a building that has a 150-year-old construction.
The client’s requirement was entirely different, unlike other customers; they were looking for a design that could retain the classical look of the space as well as add something new and modern for example, the old design ceiling has the ventilation on both sides, they wanted to keep it open along with some new design. So we gave them a few ideas through 3D and 2D designs. Finally, after many experiments in sketches, we achieved the designs satisfying to the client, which had all the elements, shapes, modern lighting, and designer ceiling that gave a look that covered everything the client sought from us. An area of about 2500 to 3000 sqft in which we had to do the designer ceiling, electrical fittings, lighting along with marble finish painting on walls we had only 12 days to accomplish the following tasks as it was a function hall the 13th day was scheduled for another function, so the deadline given to us was the 12th day. After a lot of endeavors, we completed it in 10 days.

Beginning and ending
Initially, we had to do the scaffolding for the entire area as the height was uncommon for about 30 feet from the ground; after that, we installed the steel channels, which are one of the finest and with a thick gauge quality of the bright ultra brand then we ordered the technicians to do the wiring part using the Polycabs wires for the light fixtures after that we fixed the Saint Gobain gypsum boards as per the design’s shape. After installing and finishing the gypsum board work, we started the lighting work using the 16-watt Syska LED COB bulbs; altogether, there were 26 bulbs fixed in the entire area, along with the profile lights shown in the pictures. The COB bulbs and the profile lights do not function with the direct and enormous supply of electricity; they require the calculated amount of power to function and last longer, so basically, they should be connected with the power supplies of respective and calculated power allocation which was done by the professional electrical engineers of Iconoclast Innovations. in the last stage we did the marble finish paint to enhance the overall look of the ceiling, and the walls of the function hall which gives it a vintage look. Overall, with the help of ceiling design, lighting, and marble finish, we successfully made the Officers’ mess function plaza the unique function hall in Hyderabad.
We did it in the given time, amazingly 2 days before the deadline, it was a great experience for the client to opt us for this work, and they were really happy with our service, and based on this work, they assigned us to do the elevation work of their property.
